Truck Use and History:
This truck was designed and built by R&M Fire Apparatus for Colo Fire in 2002. This tanker houses a 2000 gallon port-a-tank and over 2 blocks of Large Diameter Hose (roughly 1000 feet) to tie the pumper to a hydrant. The main purpose for this truck is to shuttle water to a rural fire hauling 2000 gallons of water per trip. The truck was remounted on a newer International around 2012 to upgrade it with air brakes and automatic transmission for safer and easier operation. This truck is also equipped with a 350 GPM PTO driven pump for filling attack trucks and fighting grass fires.
** Note: R&M Fire Apparatus was a company owned and operated by our late Chief Mark Farren and one of our current officers Bob Jamison.
